Reclaiming My Brand
A little over a year ago, I rebranded my podcast.
It went from a general life-coaching podcast with no aim and no direction to a feminist sales and business podcast.
It aligned with my SellingU program, allowed me to explore various business topics through a subversive lens, and gave me an opportunity to highlight and promote several of my clients and other entrepreneurial friends.
But if you’ve been following along for any length of time, you know it’s not always about business.
And here’s the thing: I don’t want it to be just about business.
So, I’m rebranding it again.
This time, it aligns with a more comprehensive program I offer called Project Reclamation, which is founded in my strong connection to equity and anticapitalism. And is part of a larger, overarching concept that gives my company a really interesting direction that we’ll dive deeper into later.
And Project Reclamation itself is a rebrand of a concept I started with nearly three years ago, could never quite put my finger on what was missing, and just threw some stuff together to HAVE something as a sort of place-holder until I found the missing pieces.
Which is actually really similar to the aimless, directionless beginnings of my podcast. I threw 47 episodes together just to be able to embody the concept of HAVING a podcast.
This is how I often build things. It’s messy. It’s experimental. And it allows for a lot of testing and feedback, involving my clients and audience in the process.
For a lot of people, that sounds utterly terrifying. Because it also allows for public mistakes, public failures, and public scrutiny.
But I actually don’t mind any of that. I’d rather offer complete transparency at every step and totally fuck it up, than keep things hidden away, having only my own opinions and lenses for feedback.
To me, that’s a much more guaranteed way to truly fail.
So, anyway, I’m reclaiming my brand.
Because here’s the deal: A year and a half ago, I went through something really fucking hard that I’m legally prohibited from talking much about.
Something that shook me to the core about whether the coaching industry was something I wanted to be part of.
Then, I watched friends and colleagues go through something really similar, which was also shocking.
The same kind of thing then happened again. And again.
I also saw the repercussions of all of it for other people, those not directly impacted. But the indirect impacts were quickly very clear. Some of which is still unfolding. And it’s all still really evident.
And I scrambled to create any kind of solid foundation for myself.
I jumped at the first opportunity for that, which was sales coaching. Which, btw, I love. That’s not going anywhere. Don’t worry. Doors for the membership community and mastermind will open again in March. And there might be an international retreat happening next fall. 😘
But a bitch contains multitudes. And focusing exclusively on sales – clearly – does not work for me.
We’ve got ghost stories and moon rituals happening up in here. We’ve got nervous system regulation and physical stress releases. Hell, with the new Fuck Shit Up Fridays email newsletter, we’ve got money mindset and sex tips as of late. And politics. We can’t forget the politics.
So, I’m expanding and rebranding.
Going forward, my podcast will be called The Reclamation Podcast. And if they haven’t updated yet, the new graphics and new name should all be accepted by the podcast platforms very soon.
The Reclamation Podcast is a space where we embark on a journey of self-discovery, challenging patriarchal norms, and reclaiming the power within each of us. And I’m thrilled to be on this transformative journey with you.
In this podcast, we’ll be exploring the art and science of reclaiming ourselves from the influence of patriarchal socialization.
Though I want to be clear: When I talk about the patriarchy, that’s short-hand for the cis-heteronormative, white supremacist, Christian supremacist, toxic capitalist patriarchy. It’s not just a gendered issue we’re dealing with. It’s all connected.
Through candid conversations, personal anecdotes, and insightful interviews, we’ll share practical tips and tools to help you on your own path of reclamation. You might even get an occasional peek inside Project Reclamation – the equity-focused self-coaching collective that serves as the namesake of the podcast, weekend retreats, and soon-to-be so much more!
You’ll hear stories of triumph, vulnerability, and resilience from individuals who have bravely reclaimed their bodies, their careers, their time, and their very identities. And, of course, we’ll talk reclaiming sales, reclaiming business, and reclaiming entrepreneurship from time to time.
From unearthing buried passions to challenging societal expectations, we’ll dive deep into the process of rediscovering our authentic selves.
Whether you’re seeking guidance on your own journey of reclamation or simply looking for inspiration, this podcast is for you. Together, we’ll navigate the complexities of self-discovery, dismantle limiting beliefs, and build a foundation of inner wisdom and self-trust.
Join me every Wednesday on your favorite podcast platform.
